Job Summary:
North Bolivar Consolidated School District is seeking a dynamic and responsible individual to join our team as a Sustainable Transportation Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the district's transportation operations while emphasizing our commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable transportation strategies to reduce carbon emissions and minimize environmental impact
- Manage a fleet of vehicles by coordinating maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, driver training, and licensing requirements
- Create and maintain transportation schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with school administrators, staff, and parents to address transportation needs and concerns
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sustainable transportation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Prior experience in transportation management or related roles
- Strong understanding of environmental issues and sustainability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and transportation management systems
- Ability to work collaboratively and resolve conflicts
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license
