Topeka Public Schools is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Advanced Technology Specialist. As a leader in the education industry, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our students and staff.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of advanced security solutions that protect our school district. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, you will contribute to maintaining a secure learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute security strategies and procedures in collaboration with the district leadership team
Perform regular assessments of security systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend necessary improvements
Manage and maintain our integrated security management system, inclusive of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and emergency notification systems
Monitor and analyze security incidents, providing prompt response and resolution
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our security capabilities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience in designing and implementing security systems
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure
Proficiency in security systems management and administration
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are desired
