Job Description:
Western Region Sustainable Tourism Council in Iceland's Western Region is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Wildlife Conservation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the conservation efforts related to the unique wildlife species in the Western Region.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on local wildlife populations and habitats.
- Develop and implement conservation strategies to protect endangered wildlife species.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to promote wildlife conservation initiatives.
- Educate the community and visitors about the importance of wildlife preservation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Experience in wildlife conservation or related field preferred.
- Strong passion for wildlife and environmental conservation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
