We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Community Wellness Liaison at the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering safety and support for individuals affected by domestic violence in our community, our mission is deeply intertwined with health, well-being, and social responsibility. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your passion for promoting wellness with a commitment to making a positive impact on society.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local health centers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to develop wellness programs that support survivors of domestic violence.
Organize and lead community fitness events, workshops, and awareness campaigns focused on holistic well-being.
Advocate for policies that promote mental and physical health within the context of domestic violence prevention.
Provide resources and education on how sports and fitness can be utilized as tools for empowerment and healing.
Support survivors in accessing sports and fitness opportunities as part of their journey towards recovery and self-empowerment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Social Work, or Psychology.
Previous experience in community outreach, wellness promotion, or related fields.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
Knowledge of domestic violence issues and a commitment to social justice and equity.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong community partnerships.
