Career Opportunity: Community Engagement Specialist
At the Louisiana Department of Health - Office of Aging and Adult Services - Region 10, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that enhance the well-being and quality of life for aging and health-conscious individuals in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with local communities to promote healthy aging and active living initiatives
- Organize events and activities that foster social connections and mental stimulation
- Create partnerships with local businesses and organizations to support our mission
- Educate the public on the benefits of maintaining a healthy lifestyle
- Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of our programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field
- Experience in community outreach and program development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for promoting health and wellness among older adults
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
