The Kentucky Science Center Foundation is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Animal Enrichment Specialist. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and happiness of our unique animal inhabitants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative enrichment programs for our animal residents to promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Observe animal behavior closely to tailor enrichment activities to their individual needs.
- Collaborate with the veterinary and animal care teams to ensure the health and safety of the animals.
- Conduct regular assessments of enrichment programs and make adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Zoology, or related field.
- Prior experience working with animals in a zoo, aquarium, or similar setting.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for animal welfare and enrichment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
