We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team at Borgarfjordur Community Tourism Office. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in promoting our region as a premier travel destination known for its unique cultural experiences and breathtaking landscapes.
Position: Regional Tourism Ambassador
Responsibilities:
- Engage with tourists and visitors, providing them with information about local attractions, activities, and events
- Promote and market the Eastern Region as a must-visit destination
- Develop relationships with local businesses and stakeholders to enhance the overall tourism experience
- Organize and lead tours showcasing the best of Borgarfjordur
- Collect feedback and insights to continuously improve the tourism offerings in the region
Qualifications:
- Passion for travel, tourism, and promoting local culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the Eastern Region and its attractions is a plus
