Position: Horticultural Specialist

Responsibilities:

Design and implement innovative horticultural strategies to enhance crop yield and quality
Manage and maintain the organization's greenhouses and outdoor growing areas
Monitor and control pests, diseases, and weeds using environmentally friendly methods
Collaborate with local farmers and suppliers to source high-quality seeds, plants, and equipment
Train and supervise a team of dedicated gardeners and volunteers
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience in horticulture or a related field
Strong knowledge of plant biology, soil science, and sustainable farming practices
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions
