We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as a Wildlife Rehabilitation Specialist at Nyköpings Räddningstjänst.
As a Wildlife Rehabilitation Specialist, you will contribute to the health and well-being of our region's wildlife, providing crucial care and support to ensure their successful rehabilitation and eventual re-introduction into their natural habitats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and providing medical care for injured or orphaned wildlife
- Designing and implementing specialized rehabilitation plans for different animal species
- Monitoring the progress of wildlife undergoing rehabilitation
- Collaborating with wildlife agencies and conservation organizations to ensure compliance with rehabilitation standards and protocols
- Educating the public about wildlife conservation and the importance of coexisting with local wildlife
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Veterinary Science, or related field
- Proven experience in wildlife rehabilitation and animal care
- Strong knowledge of local wildlife species and their ecological requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship
