We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at KZN Blind and Deaf Society Community Outreach Program in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering individuals within our community through various outreach initiatives and programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with community members to understand their needs and provide appropriate support
- Organizing and executing community events to raise awareness and promote inclusivity
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration
- Assisting in fundraising efforts to sustain and expand our outreach programs
- Implementing strategies to enhance community involvement and support
Qualified candidates should possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong desire to make a positive impact. Previous experience working in community outreach or social services is advantageous but not required.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals who are visually impaired and deaf, providing them with the necessary support and resources to thrive in the community.
