Join our team at North Carolina Zoo, a leader in environmental conservation and wildlife preservation. We are currently seeking an Environmental Conservation Specialist to contribute to our ongoing research and conservation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth ecological research and analysis to support wildlife conservation initiatives
- Design and implement field studies to assess the impact of human activities on local ecosystems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions for environmental challenges
- Collect and analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports on research findings
- Assist in the development and implementation of conservation programs and policies
- Educate and engage the public through presentations, workshops, and guided tours
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Proven experience in ecological research and data analysis
- Strong knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
