North Carolina Veterinary Technicians Association is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as an Animal Performance Enhancement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with veterinarians to design and implement tailored fitness and well-being programs for animals, focusing on optimizing their physical health and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate animals' fitness levels and create personalized exercise plans
- Monitor progress and adjust programs as needed
- Utilize specialized equipment for animal fitness assessment
- Provide guidance on nutrition and overall wellness
- Collaborate with veterinary professionals to ensure animal health and safety
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in animal performance enhancement
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a fitness or performance capacity
- Certification in animal training or equivalent field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for promoting animal health and well-being
- Ability to adapt programs to meet individual animal needs
