Alaska Wilderness League, based in the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, is seeking a Wilderness Protection Advocate to join our dedicated team.
As a Wilderness Protection Advocate, you will be at the forefront of preserving and protecting the natural habitats and ecosystems of Alaska. Your responsibilities will include advocating for policies that support conservation efforts, raising awareness about the importance of wildlife preservation, and engaging with key stakeholders to drive meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching and analyzing legislation related to environmental conservation
- Building relationships with government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations
- Developing advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about wilderness protection
- Participating in public events and speaking engagements to promote conservation efforts
- Contributing to strategic planning and policy development initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- Passion for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in advocacy or public policy preferred
