At Amt für Umwelt Thurgau, we are dedicated to preserving and protecting the diverse wildlife in the region. We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Wildlife Care Specialists. This role involves working closely with a variety of unique fauna species, ensuring their well-being and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily care and enrichment activities for wildlife under our care
- Assessing and monitoring the health and behavior of animals
- Assisting with the rehabilitation and release of wildlife back into their natural habitats
- Collaborating with veterinarians and biologists to implement specialized care plans
- Conducting educational programs and engaging with the community to promote wildlife conservation
Requirements:
- A background in biology, zoology, veterinary science, or a related field
- Experience working with wildlife, preferably in a rehabilitation or sanctuary setting
- Passion for wildlife conservation and a commitment to ethical animal care practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
