We at ACT Government - Environment are looking for a passionate individual to join our team in the role of Wildlife Conservation Liaison. As a Wildlife Conservation Liaison, your primary focus will be on fostering symbiotic relationships between the local environment and its numerous inhabitants. You will work towards creating and implementing policies that ensure the protection and preservation of the diverse wildlife within the Australian Capital Territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local wildlife conservation organizations to establish effective protection strategies.
  • Conduct research on local animal habitats and behaviors to develop sustainable environmental initiatives.
  • Educate the community on the significance of wildlife conservation and promote responsible interactions with local fauna.
  • Advocate for policies that prioritize the welfare and conservation of wildlife species.
  • Monitor and analyze environmental data to assess the impact of human activities on wildlife populations.

Requirements:

  • A deep-rooted passion for environmental conservation and wildlife protection.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and the community effectively.
  • Knowledge of environmental policies and regulations related to wildlife protection.
  • Experience in conducting field research or wildlife monitoring programs is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment towards a common conservation goal.
