We are looking for a driven and culturally sensitive individual to join our dynamic team at Västra Götalands Idrottsförbund in Sweden's Västra Götalands län. As a Multicultural Engagement Coordinator, you will play a key role in fostering inclusivity and diversity within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance multicultural engagement within the sports community
- Organize and promote events that celebrate diversity and inclusion
- Collaborate with various cultural groups to understand their needs and preferences
- Facilitate communication between different communities to promote unity and understanding
- Support initiatives to increase participation of underrepresented groups in sports and entertainment
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of multicultural programs and initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong intercultural communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in community engagement or multicultural programs
- Passion for promoting diversity and inclusivity
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
