Position: Change Advocate and Compliance Associate
Location: KwaZulu-Natal
Job Description:
- Champion transformative change for the marginalized through legal advocacy and compliance initiatives.
- Strategically engage with external legal entities, advocating for the rights and protection of vulnerable individuals as mandated by South African laws and policies.
- Lead compliance efforts to ensure adherence to legal standards, collaborating with internal teams to implement best practices.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and provide legal consultations on pertinent matters affecting the shelter and its beneficiaries.
- Contribute to policy development, emphasizing human rights and gender equality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in legal advocacy, compliance, or related fields.
- Proven track record in effecting positive change within legal systems.
- Strong understanding of South African legal intricacies and a passion for social justice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
