Are you passionate about art, culture, and logistics? The Whitney Museum of American Art is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cultural Logistics Specialist.

As a Cultural Logistics Specialist at The Whitney, you will be responsible for the seamless coordination and transportation of art pieces and cultural artifacts to and from various locations. Your role will involve ensuring the safe handling, packaging, and movement of valuable artworks while upholding the museum's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the transportation of artworks for exhibitions, loans, and acquisitions.
Develop and implement logistical plans to optimize the movement of cultural artifacts.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and secure delivery.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including condition reports and inventory.
Adhere to industry regulations and best practices for handling art and cultural assets.
Contribute to the museum's mission of promoting diversity and cultural exchange through your work.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or fine arts handling preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
