We are seeking a highly experienced and talented individual to join our team as the Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist in the dynamic and rapidly evolving telecommunications and media sector. As a key member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the regulatory landscape and ensuring compliance within the industry.

About the Role:

Lead the development and implementation of regulatory strategies and policies to support the rapidly changing telecommunications and media environment.
Interact with industry stakeholders, providing expert guidance and insight on regulatory matters affecting the sector.
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to formulate evidence-based regulatory recommendations for the enhancement of the telecommunications and media industry.
Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and evaluate industry developments and recommend appropriate regulatory measures.
Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to communicate regulatory initiatives and their potential impact on the industry.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in regulatory affairs within the telecommunications, broadcasting, or media industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of legislative frameworks, policies, and regulations related to the telecommunications and media sector.
Demonstrated ability to assess complex regulatory issues and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders to drive regulatory outcomes.
Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret and apply complex regulatory provisions.
Strategic mindset with a track record of influencing regulatory outcomes to support innovation and competition within the industry.
