We are seeking a highly experienced and talented individual to join our team as the Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist in the dynamic and rapidly evolving telecommunications and media sector. As a key member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the regulatory landscape and ensuring compliance within the industry.

About the Role:

  • Lead the development and implementation of regulatory strategies and policies to support the rapidly changing telecommunications and media environment.
  • Interact with industry stakeholders, providing expert guidance and insight on regulatory matters affecting the sector.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to formulate evidence-based regulatory recommendations for the enhancement of the telecommunications and media industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and evaluate industry developments and recommend appropriate regulatory measures.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to communicate regulatory initiatives and their potential impact on the industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs within the telecommunications, broadcasting, or media industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislative frameworks, policies, and regulations related to the telecommunications and media sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess complex regulatory issues and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders to drive regulatory outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret and apply complex regulatory provisions.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of influencing regulatory outcomes to support innovation and competition within the industry.
