Role Overview
As an Environmental Heritage Conservation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Saxony's cultural and natural treasures. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analyzing geographic data, and contributing to the development of sustainable tourism strategies that honor and protect our region's heritage. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments to integrate environmental conservation efforts with tourism initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching and documenting cultural and natural heritage sites
- Utilizing geoinformation tools to analyze and visualize geographic data
- Contributing to the creation of sustainable tourism strategies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate conservation with tourism
- Participating in public outreach and education programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
- Experience in heritage conservation and sustainable tourism preferred
- Proficiency in geoinformation systems and mapping technologies
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for conserving cultural and natural heritage
