Position Available: Cultural Experience Coordinator

Glarus Youth Empowerment Foundation is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Cultural Experience Coordinator, based in the vibrant and picturesque region of Glarus. We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage immersive cultural experiences for visitors to Glarus, ensuring each experience reflects the rich tapestry of traditions, customs, and heritage unique to this region.
Collaborate with local businesses and community members to curate engaging and authentic cultural programs, tailored to a diverse audience.
Coordinate with travel agencies and organizations to promote Glarus as a cultural destination, showcasing its unique offerings to tourists from around the world.
Conduct research on global tourism trends and integrate innovative ideas to enhance the cultural experience offerings.
Create and maintain partnerships with cultural institutions, local artisans, and performers to enrich the cultural programs offered by the foundation.
Ensure the smooth operation and logistics of cultural events and activities, providing exceptional experiences for all participants.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural dynamics, with a strong background in event coordination, tourism, or related fields.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups, including local communities, tourists, and international partners.
Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with meticulous attention to detail.
Passionate about promoting multiculturalism, with a commitment to cultural exchange and understanding.
Proficiency in English and at least one additional language, with German being highly desirable.
Experience in project management and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
