We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team in fostering international trade relationships and promoting Ontario's economic capabilities. As a member of our esteemed organization, you will contribute to the development and execution of strategies to advance Ontario's global presence in a vibrant and growing sector.
Position: International Relations Officer
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate international partnerships through business development initiatives and trade missions
- Engage with foreign entities to promote investment in Ontario's thriving industries
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for Ontario-based companies in global markets
- Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental agencies to create strategic alliances and agreements
- Provide support for incoming foreign delegations and assist in organizing international events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in international relations, business, economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in international business, trade, or related fields
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with an ability to work effectively across cultures
- Understanding of international trade policies and regulations
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an asset
