Southern Pines Recreation and Parks is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Community Health and Wellness Specialist. This unique role involves fostering a culture of well-being and promoting healthy lifestyles within our community, thus making a profound impact on the overall health and happiness of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community health programs and initiatives
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers to organize health education workshops and events
- Create and manage partnerships with fitness facilities and wellness centers to expand access to physical activities
- Conduct outreach efforts to engage diverse populations and address their specific health needs
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Advocate for policies that support community health and wellness initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as public health, nutrition, or community health
- Experience in developing and leading health promotion programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including healthcare professionals, local organizations, and residents
- Proficient in data analysis and program evaluation
