We're Hiring: Animal Welfare and Transport Liaison Specialist

Valle d'Aosta Regional Transport Authority is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for animal welfare and a deep commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our four-legged friends. This unique position involves working at the intersection of pet and animal care, transportation logistics, and community engagement.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement animal transportation guidelines and best practices to ensure the comfort and safety of animals in transit
  • Collaborate with local animal welfare organizations and veterinary professionals to ensure the welfare of pets using our transport services
  • Facilitate education and training programs for staff and the community on animal handling and care during transportation
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to maintain compliance with animal welfare regulations
  • Work closely with our multicultural team to ensure the inclusivity of all pets, taking into account diverse cultural attitudes towards animals
  • Provide expert advice to the company on animal transportation policies and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Zoology, Veterinary Medicine, or related field
  • Experience in animal welfare, transportation, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of animal behavior and welfare standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a diversity-focused approach
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to various cultural perspectives on pet care and welfare
  • Proficiency in Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
