We're Hiring: Animal Welfare and Transport Liaison Specialist

Valle d'Aosta Regional Transport Authority is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for animal welfare and a deep commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our four-legged friends. This unique position involves working at the intersection of pet and animal care, transportation logistics, and community engagement.

Role Responsibilities:

Develop and implement animal transportation guidelines and best practices to ensure the comfort and safety of animals in transit
Collaborate with local animal welfare organizations and veterinary professionals to ensure the welfare of pets using our transport services
Facilitate education and training programs for staff and the community on animal handling and care during transportation
Conduct regular assessments and audits to maintain compliance with animal welfare regulations
Work closely with our multicultural team to ensure the inclusivity of all pets, taking into account diverse cultural attitudes towards animals
Provide expert advice to the company on animal transportation policies and regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Zoology, Veterinary Medicine, or related field
Experience in animal welfare, transportation, or a related field
Strong understanding of animal behavior and welfare standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a diversity-focused approach
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to various cultural perspectives on pet care and welfare
Proficiency in Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
