Location: Egilsstadir Community Pottery Workshop, Eastern Region, Iceland

Egilsstadir Community Pottery Workshop is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Wellness Artisan, dedicated to bring the therapeutic and healing benefits of art to our community. As a Wellness Artisan, you will be responsible for creating and conducting various art therapy sessions for individuals in need, including patients and community members.

The Role:

Design and lead art therapy sessions with a focus on promoting holistic wellness and healing
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate art therapy into patient treatment plans
Work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds to provide personalized art therapy experiences
Conduct workshops and classes to educate the community on the healing power of art
Contribute to ongoing research initiatives exploring the impact of art therapy on wellness and mental health

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Art Therapy, Fine Arts, Psychology, or related field
Proven experience in conducting art therapy sessions, preferably within a healthcare or community setting
Passion for leveraging art as a tool for healing and wellness
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
