Are you passionate about creating social impact through the power of justice? Our team at Nakuru Legal Aid Society is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Community Advocate. As a Community Advocate, you'll be at the forefront of initiatives aimed at fostering legal empowerment within our local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with local communities to identify legal issues and provide appropriate guidance
Collaborate with the legal team to devise effective strategies for community outreach and awareness
Assist in organizing and conducting legal education workshops and seminars
Advocate for marginalized communities and individuals facing legal challenges
Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, institutions, and government bodies
Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative legal initiatives

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, or related field
Experience in community engagement or advocacy work
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for social justice and equality
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in local languages and cultural understanding is a plus
