We are excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity at Husavik Community Bookstore. We are searching for a passionate individual to join our team as a Coastal Experience Specialist. Based in the picturesque town of Husavik in the stunning Northeastern Region of Iceland, our bookstore is committed to showcasing the rich cultural and natural heritage of our region.
Position: Coastal Experience Specialist
Location: Husavik, Northeastern Region, Iceland
Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and manage our collection of literature and resources focused on coastal heritage, wildlife, and local attractions
- Design and lead tailored excursions and experiences centered around the region's unique coastal offerings
- Provide engaging and insightful guidance to visitors about the local area and its attractions
- Collaborate with local partners to organize events and workshops that celebrate our coastal environment
- Contribute to the overall atmosphere and customer experience within the bookstore
Requirements:
- Passion for coastal heritage, wildlife, and environmental conservation
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong emphasis on storytelling
- Experience in event coordination and/or guiding tours
- Strong knowledge of the local area and its offerings, particularly related to coastal experiences
- Ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment
