Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Music Archive Curator. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and curating the music archive collection, including acquiring, cataloging, preserving, and providing access to materials related to the history of music in all its forms.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the acquisition and cataloging of music materials
- Curate and develop the library's music archive collection
- Collaborate with library staff to provide access to music resources for researchers and patrons
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of exhibitions and educational programs related to the music archive
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science, Musicology, or related field
- Proven experience in archive management and curation, preferably in a performing arts setting
- Deep knowledge and passion for music history and repertoire across various genres
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
