We are in search of a dynamic professional to fill the role of a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist.

Job Description:

Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards related to a critical sector at the heart of the state’s economic and industrial development.
Conduct detailed environmental assessments and reports, focusing on key areas that influence air quality, land use, and resource management, among others.
Collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop strategies for sustainable environmental practices and mitigate potential impact from industrial operations.
Provide expert guidance and support to state agencies and companies in achieving regulatory compliance, enhancing environmental performance, and fostering eco-friendly initiatives.
Engage in comprehensive inspections, audits, and investigations to maintain the highest environmental standards.
Act as the primary point of contact representing the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality in regulatory matters.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in environmental regulation, permitting, or compliance.
A thorough understanding of industrial processes and operations within a regulated environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
An ability to thrive under pressure and navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership in fostering environmental stewardship and driving sustainable initiatives.
Professional certifications in environmental management are a plus.
