Mississippi Museum of Natural Science is looking for individuals who are passionate about discovery and engagement to join our team as Discovery Experience Specialists. As a Discovery Experience Specialist, you will have the opportunity to indulge your interest in nature, history, and science while fostering a dynamic and engaging environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience
- Engage with visitors, providing them with insightful information about natural science and historical exhibits
- Assist with sales and retail operations, promoting and selling museum merchandise
- Contribute to the development and execution of interactive programs and events
- Collaborate with the museum team to maintain an inviting and informative environment
Qualifications:
- Passion for natural science, history, and environmental conservation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in customer service and/or public engagement preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Flexibility in working weekends and holidays as needed
