Basel-Landschaft Department of Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Wildlife Care Specialist to join our team. As an organization committed to the well-being and preservation of our local wildlife, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about animal care and welfare.

The ideal candidate will have a background in biology, veterinary studies, or a related field, and a deep understanding of wildlife behavior and habitats. As a Wildlife Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing care, enrichment, and rehabilitation to various species native to the Basel-Landschaft area.

Responsibilities:

Providing daily care for wildlife, including feeding, grooming, and enrichment activities
Assessing and monitoring the health and behavior of animals in our care
Collaborating with veterinary staff to ensure the well-being of wildlife
Developing and implementing environmental enrichment programs
Participating in educational outreach events to raise awareness about local wildlife conservation

Requirements:

A genuine passion for wildlife and animal welfare
Experience in wildlife rehabilitation or related fields
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the animals
