Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Natural Resource Management Specialist. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to research projects focusing on the management of natural resources, conservation, and sustainable land use in rural areas
Collaborate with external partners, governmental agencies, and local communities to develop strategies for biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture
Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on best practices for natural resource management in agricultural and rural sectors
Conduct field assessments and data analysis to assess the impact of agricultural practices on the environment and biodiversity
Participate in policy development and advocacy efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and rural development

Requirements:

Master's or Ph.D. in natural resource management, environmental science, agriculture, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in natural resource management and agricultural development
Demonstrated expertise in biodiversity conservation, land use planning, and sustainable agriculture practices
Proven track record of leading and managing interdisciplinary research projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Fluency in English; proficiency in Norwegian is an advantage
