Job Description:

As a Rural Business Development Manager at Bangor Savings Bank, you will be at the forefront of supporting the growth and sustainability of Maine's rural economy. You will work closely with local agricultural businesses, providing financial expertise, strategic guidance, and access to tailored banking services. Your role will involve fostering relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and championing initiatives to strengthen our rural communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with agricultural and rural business owners
Provide financial guidance and support to help businesses thrive
Deliver innovative banking solutions tailored to agricultural and rural business needs

Act as an advocate for rural economic development initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking, finance, or agricultural/rural business development
Proven track record of relationship management and business development
Understanding of agricultural economics and rural market dynamics
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Passion for fostering economic growth in rural communities
