We're Hiring: Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
Delaware Emergency Management Agency is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the preparedness and resilience of our community, working within the Franchise/Chain industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for various locations within the state
- Coordinate with franchise owners and managers to ensure compliance with emergency management regulations
- Conduct training sessions and drills to promote a culture of preparedness
- Assess potential hazards and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with local authorities and emergency response teams
- Respond to emergency situations and provide support as needed
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of emergency equipment and supplies
- Provide guidance and support to franchise staff during emergency situations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field
- Experience in emergency preparedness or related field within the Franchise/Chain industry
- Strong understanding of emergency management protocols and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in MS Office and emergency management software
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
