Hebrew Union College Museum is seeking a meticulous and innovative Craftsmanship Coordinator to join our team in Jerusalem District, Israel. As a pivotal part of our mission to preserve and present Jewish art and culture, this role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for tradition, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the meticulous production and creation of artistic artifacts and cultural pieces
- Develop and implement efficient processes to ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship
- Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate cultural significance into manufacturing processes
- Train and mentor artisans to maintain traditional techniques and enhance skills
- Manage inventory and resource allocation to ensure seamless production
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or related field
- Proven experience in artisanal or craftsmanship roles, preferably within museum or cultural institutions
- Demonstrated understanding of traditional Jewish art and cultural practices
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a dynamic problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Fluency in Hebrew and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
