Hebrew Union College Museum is seeking a meticulous and innovative Craftsmanship Coordinator to join our team in Jerusalem District, Israel. As a pivotal part of our mission to preserve and present Jewish art and culture, this role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for tradition, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the meticulous production and creation of artistic artifacts and cultural pieces
  • Develop and implement efficient processes to ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate cultural significance into manufacturing processes
  • Train and mentor artisans to maintain traditional techniques and enhance skills
  • Manage inventory and resource allocation to ensure seamless production

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or related field
  • Proven experience in artisanal or craftsmanship roles, preferably within museum or cultural institutions
  • Demonstrated understanding of traditional Jewish art and cultural practices
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a dynamic problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
