Fjordview Outdoor Gear - Seeking Dedicated Professional for Wildlife Stewardship Position
Fjordview Outdoor Gear, based in the beautiful landscape of Vestland, Norway, is currently looking for individuals passionate about environmental stewardship and wildlife conservation. We are seeking a Wildlife Stewardship Specialist to join our team and work alongside local farmers and environmentalists to promote sustainable land use and conservation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local farmers and landowners to develop and implement wildlife management plans
- Conduct habitat assessments and wildlife population surveys
- Advise on sustainable farming practices that promote biodiversity and wildlife conservation
- Educate and engage with community members on the importance of wildlife stewardship
- Assist in the development of agri-environment schemes to support wildlife habitats and rural landscapes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field
- Proven experience in wildlife or habitat conservation initiatives
- Understanding of agricultural systems and rural land management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for preserving natural habitats and promoting sustainable land use practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
