Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) is looking for a dynamic and talented individual to join our team. We are seeking an Innovation Research Specialist to help us pave the way in shaping the future of intellectual property in Kenya and beyond.

Position Overview:

As an Innovation Research Specialist at KIPI, you will be at the forefront of driving revolutionary advancements by conducting comprehensive innovation research, identifying emerging trends, and facilitating groundbreaking solutions across various industries. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the intellectual property landscape, safeguarding innovation, and promoting sustainable development.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis on technological, scientific, and industrial innovations.
Identify and evaluate potential patentable inventions and innovations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance on intellectual property matters.
Develop and implement methodologies to drive innovation and protect intellectual assets.
Stay abreast of local and international intellectual property regulations and best practices.
Contribute to the development of policies and initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of innovation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, technology, or sciences.
Demonstrated experience in research, analysis, and intellectual property management.
Strong understanding of patent laws, regulations, and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
Proven track record of driving innovation and intellectual property protection.
