About You: If you are a creative thinker with a passion for sports heritage, possess excellent communication skills, and have a keen interest in engaging diverse audiences, we want to hear from you. As our Experience Curator, you will have the opportunity to serve as a purveyor of Kentucky Derby history and an ambassador for the thrill of the sport.

Responsibilities:

Design captivating and immersive experiences that resonate with guests of all ages and backgrounds
Develop and implement engaging educational programs and exhibits related to the rich history of the Kentucky Derby and its impact on the world of sports
Collaborate with museum staff to ensure that exhibits and interactive displays enhance the visitor experience and contribute to a dynamic learning environment
Cultivate relationships within the local and national sports community to further elevate the Museum's profile and reach
Contribute to the strategic planning and implementation of events and special programming, fostering an inclusive environment that upholds the spirit of the Kentucky Derby

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in history, museum studies, sports management, or a related field
Proven experience in curatorial roles, experience design, event planning, or museum education
Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and translate historical content into engaging experiences for diverse audiences
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders
A genuine enthusiasm for the traditions and legacies of sports, specifically horseracing and the Kentucky Derby
Proficiency in digital media and storytelling techniques is a plus
