Gemeente Assen is seeking a dynamic individual who is enthusiastic about organizing and executing sports events that inspire and engage our community. As the Sports Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and overseeing a range of sports-related activities that bring people together and ignite their love for sports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative event concepts that cater to diverse interests and age groups
- Collaborate with local sports organizations, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful event planning and execution
- Coordinate logistical arrangements, including venue selection, equipment procurement, and staffing requirements
- Manage event timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently
- Work closely with marketing and communication teams to promote events and engage the community
- Evaluate event success and gather feedback to enhance future initiatives
Qualifications:
- A deep-rooted passion for sports and community engagement
- Previous experience in event management, preferably in sports or related fields
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed
- Proficiency in Dutch and English languages
