We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join Mingo County Schools in West Virginia as a Student Support Specialist. This vital role involves providing essential services to our students and ensuring their academic and personal success. As a Student Support Specialist, you will work closely with students, parents, and educators to create a positive and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer guidance and support to students facing academic and personal challenges
Collaborate with teachers and counselors to identify students in need of assistance
Develop and implement strategies to address student needs and promote a positive learning experience
Coordinate with community resources to provide additional support for students and families
Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to school administration and parents
Facilitate workshops and programs focusing on mental health, social skills, and academic improvement
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field
Experience working with students in an educational or counseling capacity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and community partners
