We are looking for a Wildlife Conservation Operations Manager to join our team at the Kenya Wildlife Service in Eastern Kenya!

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the logistics and transportation operations for wildlife conservation initiatives.
Ensure efficient coordination of resources for wildlife protection and habitat management.
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational processes and maximize conservation outcomes.
Lead a dedicated team to execute operational tasks effectively and safely.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth transportation of wildlife resources and personnel.
Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying improvements and addressing challenges proactively.
Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices in wildlife transportation and logistical operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in operations and logistics management, preferably in a conservation or related field.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Understanding of wildlife conservation principles and a commitment to conservation efforts.
Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus.
Ability to work in a challenging and dynamic environment with a commitment to excellence.
