Doctors Without Borders, a leader in global humanitarian aid, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. We are seeking an individual with a passion for leveraging advanced technologies to support our efforts in the crucial and impactful interface between the human and animal worlds.
Job Title: Humanitarian Aid Technology Specialist
Location: Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance the delivery of aid in support of animals and their welfare in crisis situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate advanced tools and techniques that directly benefit both human and animal populations.
- Contribute to the research and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for improving veterinary care and animal protection in challenging environments.
- Offer technical guidance to field missions to ensure the seamless integration of technology into humanitarian aid operations.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements relevant to both human and animal welfare, providing insights on their potential applications within our initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science, engineering, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying advanced technologies to address the needs of vulnerable populations, with particular attention to animal welfare.
- Proven ability to work in multicultural environments and a strong commitment to humanitarian values.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical information to individuals from non-technical backgrounds.
- Experience in project management and a track record of successful implementation of technology-based initiatives.
