We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team at the North Karelian Museum in Pohjois-Karjala. If you have a love for the natural world and enjoy working in a collaborative and friendly environment, we want to hear from you.
Position Available: Wildlife Engagement Specialist
Overview: As a Wildlife Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in creating and delivering engaging experiences related to the natural world, thereby fostering a deeper connection between our visitors and the wildlife of the Pohjois-Karjala region. You will work closely with our team to develop educational materials, interactive exhibits, and engaging events to promote an understanding of our local wildlife.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead educational programs focused on local wildlife
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement interactive exhibits
- Organize and lead wildlife-themed events and outreach activities
- Conduct research on the regional wildlife to enhance educational materials
- Engage with visitors to provide insight and answer questions about local wildlife
Requirements:
- Passion for wildlife and natural history
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in developing educational programs or exhibits (preferred)
- Knowledge of local wildlife and conservation efforts (preferred)
