Position: Community Development Strategist

Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for sustainable community development in Jämtlands län.
Engage with local stakeholders, including farmers, businesses, and community organizations, to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Lead initiatives to promote agrotourism, local food production, and rural entrepreneurship.
Collaborate with governmental agencies and non-profit organizations to advocate for policies supporting rural development.
Champion environmental sustainability and conservation efforts within the agricultural and rural sectors.
Oversee educational programs and outreach activities aimed at empowering local residents and businesses.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in community development, rural economics, or related fields.
Demonstrated leadership in driving sustainable initiatives and fostering stakeholder collaboration.
Strong advocacy skills and the ability to influence policy at local and regional levels.
Passion for promoting agricultural innovation, local food systems, and environmental stewardship.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in rural areas.
Degree in sustainable development, agricultural economics, or a related field (preferred).
