Andritz Hydro AG in Lucerne is seeking a proven leader to join our talented team as a Senior Aero-Engineer Specialist. We are looking for someone with a passion for cutting-edge technology and a keen interest in advancing the state-of-the-art in the field of fluid dynamics and energy conversion. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of high-performance components for our hydro-power systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of aerodynamic components and systems
Develop and optimize airfoil profiles and hydrodynamic shapes for maximum performance
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate aerodynamic solutions into overall system design
Provide technical expertise in the area of fluid dynamics to support the development of innovative solutions
Conduct thorough performance evaluations through computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing

Requirements:

Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a focus on fluid dynamics
Proven track record in the design, analysis, and optimization of aerodynamic systems
Expertise in computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, and relevant simulation tools
Strong knowledge of turbomachinery, hydrodynamics, and energy conversion systems
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
