Andritz Hydro AG in Lucerne is seeking a proven leader to join our talented team as a Senior Aero-Engineer Specialist. We are looking for someone with a passion for cutting-edge technology and a keen interest in advancing the state-of-the-art in the field of fluid dynamics and energy conversion. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of high-performance components for our hydro-power systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of aerodynamic components and systems
- Develop and optimize airfoil profiles and hydrodynamic shapes for maximum performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate aerodynamic solutions into overall system design
- Provide technical expertise in the area of fluid dynamics to support the development of innovative solutions
- Conduct thorough performance evaluations through computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a focus on fluid dynamics
- Proven track record in the design, analysis, and optimization of aerodynamic systems
- Expertise in computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, and relevant simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of turbomachinery, hydrodynamics, and energy conversion systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
