We are seeking diligent and committed individuals to join our team as Security Operations Specialists at Shoprite in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. As a Security Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols to maintain a secure environment
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a security-related role
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Excellent observation and surveillance skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle emergency situations
- Valid security license or certification
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
