Canadian Red Cross is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team in Quebec. We are looking for a dynamic professional to fill the position of 'Community Financial Services Coordinator'. This role involves working closely with communities in Quebec to provide essential financial services and support. At Canadian Red Cross, we value diversity and inclusivity, and we are committed to building a team that reflects the multicultural fabric of the communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with community leaders to provide financial literacy programs
- Assist in developing and implementing community financial empowerment initiatives
- Offer guidance on financial planning and budgeting
- Facilitate access to banking and financial resources for vulnerable community members
- Conduct outreach to ensure marginalized groups have access to financial services
- Track and report on the impact of financial services on community well-being
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement and financial education
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and financial practices in diverse communities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Proficiency in French and English; additional languages considered an asset
