Welcome to Central Park Conservancy! We are seeking a Multicultural Engagement Specialist who has a passion for community engagement and diversity. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a more inclusive environment within our organization, while also engaging with diverse groups and communities in and around New York.

Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to engage multicultural communities in activities and events within Central Park
Facilitate partnerships with diverse community organizations to promote inclusivity and accessibility at Central Park
Plan and coordinate programs that cater to a diverse audience, ensuring representation for all cultures
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all engagement initiatives are aligned with the Conservancy’s mission and values
Advocate for the diverse needs of the community to ensure that Central Park serves as a welcoming and inclusive space for all

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in community engagement or multicultural outreach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Deep understanding of the multicultural landscape in New York City and surrounding areas
Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
